Playing
their first tournament as a new team, the Cal Elite
Girls Under 19 Soccer Team won the Championship of The
California Cup with a 4-2 win over Lagunas GU19
Strickers. "The team played well and we look for to
continued development and progress", said coach Charles
Gordon Jr. The team, Maggie Ayala, Larrisa Brown,
Brittany Christian, Susana Correa, Courtney Eliis,
Samantha Ellis, Talia Meja, Marika Nemeth, Kiana Nua,
Shawna Saitta, Kristi Susca, Brittany Teaney Rachael
Webb and Taylor Williams, were led by captains Kim
Randall and Delaney Enriquez.
Also playing their
tournament as a team, the Cal Elite Boys Under 19 Soccer Team advanced to
the Championship game of the California Cup. In a strong played physical
match, the boys conceded by giving up two PK's to Newark Soccer. "It is a
tough way to drop, however, we are very excited about our progress and look
forward to a season of successes" said coach Rudy Ocampo. The team, Daivid
Arnold, James Cardenas, Derek Colbenson, Kalan Dapson, Michael Fincher, Kody
Gardener, Jose Gonzalez, Juan "Charlie" Gonzalez, Luis Hernandez, Alan
Lopez, Alfred Lopez, Joaquin Martinez, Landon Tango and Michael Weise, were
led by captains Junior Ramirez and Landon Tango.
Additionally, the California
Elite Girls Under 16 also advanced to the Championship game of the
California Cup. They meet the strong performing Canyon Brazilia FC team,
whom they tied 1-1 during pool play. "The girls had a good showing this
weekend! The Brazilia team plays quality soccer and outplayed our ladies in
the final match. Playing strong competition helps our team to improve. We
are looking forward to an outstanding Coast Soccer League season", said
Coach Charles Gordon Sr. The team, Iliana Alvarez, Corie Christianson,
Gretta Czarnocki, Sarah Duffie, Kelsey Evenson, Jaclyn LaMoure, Haleigh
Lamping, Vanessa Lozano, Neesa Melton, Melanie Ortiz, Kristen Osuna, Taylor
Sclimenti and Elisha Vernon, were led by captains Marissa Chapman and Tianna
Boatwright.

Elite Soccer Club is currently holding tryouts at the Lancaster Soccer
Complex (located at 43000 30th Street East, Lancaster, Ca. 93535 - cross
streets 30 St. East and Ave L) on field # 8 (on the Westside on the complex)
on Tuesday and Thursday evenings. Boys under 13, Girls under 15 and Girls
under 16 tryout from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. and Boys under 16, Boys under 19
and Girls under 19 tryout from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. All are welcome to
participate in a no obligation tryout session. Please fill out at tryout

CESC Earns Multiple Championships!
In there first
tournament since the departure of several girls leaving for college, the
California Elite Soccer Club GU19 Team proved it was ready to
continue the hard earned reputation of CHAMPIONS. During the California Cup
over August 8th and 9th, the girls battled through new
beginnings and adversity (sometimes playing short-handed) to solidify the
Championship in a hard fought overtime period in the Finals. “The
Championship was icing on the cake for a strong showing which will provide
numerous lessons to help develop the team, according to coach Gordon.” With
the addition of many new girls, the team looks forward to a positive season
of Unity, Hustle, and Pride…Go

Diana Estevez, Carla Hager, Shawna Saitta, Lauren Howard, Morgan Jones, Kim
Randall, Candida Wagner, Kazandra Palomino, Yanina Diaz, Larissa Brown,
Brittany Teaney, Haley Rabei.
The California Elite
Soccer Club BU19 Team also earned California Cup Championship honors as
they battled to a record of 27 wins, with only 3 losses, in there last 30
matches…WOW! This summers’ Tournament season, the boys have posted 4
Championships out of 4 tournaments, and showed the typed of development it
takes to be successful. Posting wins over such prestigious teams as the
Irvine Strickers Premier, Chivas USA developmental group, and Inlands Brazil
squad have been great for the big picture. “Every player on the team has
embraced the lessons learned and understands what it takes to transfer
quality development to progressive game play, says coach Argote. The team
looks forward to a successful season. BU19 Players: Cory Rust, Jeffrey

The California Elite Soccer Clubs’
GU19 show well at the Albion Cup in San Diego. Finishing tied for points
in the top of bracket 1, the California Elite Soccer Club GU19 Team faced
a well coached Nomads group in the Semi-Finals. Both teams battled with
the California Elite Girls finishing victorious by a score of 1-0 win.
Moving to the final, they faced a strong Laguna Hills Eclipse Group, who
earned a hard fought 2-0 win over the Elite. “Both teams played very
well. Is was a solid step on the ladder of development for our girls”,
said coach Gordon. The tournament was great for all players on the Elite
squad and a bitter sweet goodbye/new beginning for many of the Elite Girls
playing this weekend. Good luck in college to Stephanie Galarze

(C.E.S.C.) Teams Show Strong at the
2009 Wolfpack Tournament over the July
11th and 12th weekend. Both the GU16 and BU17 C.E.S.C. teams made the finals
in their perspective age groupings.
7-12-09...The
BU17 team won the
Championship verse a very talented ISC
Strikers team in a battle that ended in PK’s, ending with a score of 2-1.
Scoring a total of 11 goals and giving up only 2 goals during the
tournament shows a hard earned improvement in total team play. Great Job
Boys!
7-12-09...The
GU16 team earned second place honors
in a five team bracket. Coming off a recent championship at the Chivas USA
Cup, the girls worked hard to stay focused and push for development. There
efforts were rewarded with improvement and excitement for the future.
Excellent Work Ladies! The team is still looking for two dedicated
players to solidify the roster.

Simi
Valley Invitational Cup over the May 2nd and 3rd
weekend. With three C.E.S.C. teams attending, all made
the finals in their perspective age groupings.
5-4-09...The
BU17
team won the Championship
verse a developmental CD Chivas USA team in an overtime battle, ending with
a score of 2-1. “The play of the boys was solid. We were looking to improve
upon our State Cup performance (placing in the round of eight out of 32
teams), while integrating some new players into our system of play”, says
coach Argote. Great Job Boys!
5-4-09...The
GU16
team won the Championship
(in there second tournament together), playing a hard fought match with
Moorepark Soccer Club, which ended in a 1-0 win. “The play of the girls was
good and filled with desire. We take pride in our performance and look
forward to getting back on the practice field to polish our strengths and
continue with development”, said Coach Gordon Jr. Excellent Work Ladies!
5-4-09...The
GU14
team also earned a trip to the Finals
(in only there second tournament together), where they met a strong Westside
Breakers group. They dropped 1-3, however showed tremendous development
from their previous tournament. “There are many lessons to reflect upon for
the team and we look forward to continued progress with this talented group
of young ladies. The girls displayed first-class character”, said Coach
Gordon Sr. Awesome Performance Girls!
