To the Cal Elite Family - With Special Regards to the Boys U15.

Wow-what a season! 9 & 3 - outstanding accomplishment boys-you have a lot to be proud of. Take with you the lessons learned from Chuck, Larry, and all the other contributors to your team. Your talent as a team and individual character displayed while playing speak volumes of who you are becoming = Awesome Young Men.

Chuck - your philosophy/training is paying off. The boys grew into a "Class Act" team, winning was the bonus! We are so very grateful for you and all you do both professionally & personally. The sacrifices you make for all of your teams is infinite-You pour your heart & soul into everything and it is evident throughout your organization. The respect your players have for you is sincere as is that from us parents.
Thank you for working with Tyler - pushing him to become a better person and to excel in everything he does.
As we all know behind every good man there is an even better woman-God Bless you Lisa for putting up with it!

Larry - thanks for hanging in there -we know the boys gave you a run for your money. It's been an adventure and you did a good job!

The Lewis' would like to thank all of the Cal Elite family for a Great Soccer Season. We look forward to next year and can't wait to see "What's Next" XOXOXO

I coached Charles W. Gordon Jr. at California State University Northridge in Varsity Soccer, at the Division 1 level (in the Mountain Pacific Soccer Federation).  He is a person with great motivation and high goals.  He captained his senior team and is a leader on and off the field.  During his senior year he took the position of player/coach to benefit the team.  His achievements at Northridge were great.  He is a very capable person who prepares well and is always eager to over-achieve.  His ability to rise to a challenge, combined with his athletic ability and determination, earned him Most Valuable Player Awards during Conference and Tournament play, while receiving Student/Athlete honors.  I have been honored to have the privilege of coaching such a well-rounded person and hold a great deal of respect for him.

Sincerely,

Marwan Ass'ad

Sounds like the horizons are bright for your team, as I stated, I wish you guys the best. It's so nice to play a talented team that doesn't rely on playing dirty to accomplish the task at hand. Not that it makes losing any fun, but as a parent I have a great deal more respect for a team that plays a good, clean game...your team beat us fair and square, no doubt about it.

Posted By: Stewart Cohen, President of Rampage Soccer Club

Hello there,

I am the president of Rampage FC. Thank you again for visiting us at Granada Hills High yesterday.  The reason for my email is to let you know how impressed I was with your team. Yes, you played a phenomenal second half scoring 6 goals on your way to hard earned victory.  However, I was blown away by the character of your team. When the game ended, all of your girls came right over to our girls to shake their hands. I have never seen that before. It will be something I will not soon forget.  I have built Rampage on this type of philosophy and you guys are doing something very right!!!!!!!  I believe that we have a golden opportunity to teach these kids about life's most valuable lessons; not just how to become a better soccer players. Thank you again for instilling my faith that others are doing their best to accomplish the same "goal".  I really wanted to address your team after the game, but I did not want to interrupt you as you were speaking with them.  Good luck the rest of the way.

All the best,

Stuart Cohen

Simply, You and your team/club are a "class act"....  I will now be following your teams throughout the season.

Just a few quick things!  I want to thank you for working with Amanda.  After you left she said that you put things in a way that she could understand you used metaphors that made sense to her.  She has been working on the stretches and other things that you worked on.  I was looking at her schedule for HS and she has games the next two Saturdays.  She will be back to you on Sat Feb 4rth.  She is committed to work on the things you taught her until then.  I appreciate the way that your are beginning with the basics.  Thanks for also looking at the entire player and looking at how Amanda's personality impacts and is a factor to training and play.   As I see the girls on your team play I can see your signature on them.  The way you were having Amanda use her entire body is something I see in your players.  Thanks for being willing to work with her.

Chuck, I just wanted to let you know that ever since I assisted you back in AYSO, that not only did you teach both of my daughters skills and techniques that they still use today, but you did it in a way that was fun for them. It was done in a no non-sense environment with you leading them and showing them with your skills. Ever since I heard you were going to start this club my whole family has been so excited we can't wait for the tryouts. If anyone can build a successful club in the AV I believe it is you. To anyone else that may read this all I can say is come on up and play among the ELITE! Good luck and we'll look forward to seeing you at the tryouts and the personal training sessions.

Hi Charles,

I just wanted to let you know that whether my son Justin makes your club or not, you are the first club out here who is actually doing the right thing for the soccer youth of the Antelope Valley.
My daughter Ashley has been playing at the top level since she was 11 years old and now she plays Premier. We have been with the big named clubs such as the Slammers, Barcelona, and So. Cal United. She has also trained with the top trainers around. After observing the try-out and reading about your program, both my husband and I feel that you are finally bringing to AV what should have been here a long time ago. You are providing everything that the Super Clubs provide.
We only wish that you came along four years ago, so we would not of had to travel all of these years.

Good Luck to your club and it's teams!

Sincerely,
Lisa Latimer

Chuck,

I want to tell you that excitement for club soccer has been brought back into our family.  After experiencing many negative things in the AV club scene, we are happy and excited about what you are bringing to the kids of the Antelope Valley.  We hope that all the local clubs see what great things you have to offer and join forces with you to make the Antelope Valley the premier soccer destination.

Good Luck and we look forward to being part of the Cal-Elite family.

Andy Starritt - Fullerton Rangers GU13 White

Hello Charles,

I wanted to take a minute to thank you, your team and your parents for making the trip down to Fullerton to join us in our tournament.

Everyone in our bracket truly enjoyed having your team participate in our tournament.  I received more positive comments about your team than any other in the bracket.  You, your girls and your parents showed a lot of class.

We hope you will consider joining us again next year.

Good luck in the upcoming season,

Andy Starritt

Hi Chuck,

I would like to say how please I am with Teryn & Thetas gains since starting at Cal Elite.

Teryn has become a better group member and is learning how to get along with others. She is proud to be on her team.

Theta has learned to keep longer focus during the game. She still has moments but there less & less. Her grades were low at the beginning of the school year but, she brought them up by her first progress report.  She has never done that before. I think it’s because at soccer practice you make her think and push to do better. She is applying this to her school work.

Thanks Chuck for bring such a valuable, quality soccer program to the A.V. and letting me help.

Thanks Cal Elite SC and Coach Brenda for a great season :)

My daughter Neesa has really enjoyed being a part of Cal Elite SC GU11 for the past 8 months. I have seen her grow not only as a player but as a student of the game. This season has been a learning experience for her because it's the first season for her as a goal keeper and she's done a GREAT JOB! The coaching and training she has received this season has been far superior to what she ever received from the last 2 clubs she was with. As a parent I appreciate the time, effort and dedication that all the coaches put forth for the kids. She has learned that it's not all about winning; it's about building the foundation for a team that will eventually become something great. Win or loose she has become a better r soccer player because of Coach Charles commitment to the players and the club as well as his ability to teach the game.  In the end all that's important is that Neesa loves soccer and it shows every time she walks out on the field whether it be during practice or game time.

Thank you,

Gina Riley

Alanna and Athena Robinson were recruited from an AYSO tournament at the Lancaster complex in January 2006, and joined the team as it was starting to form with the March tryouts. We really wanted to get the girls playing club soccer quickly and considered other established clubs, but the integrity and passion of Charles Gordon kept us from even wanting to go anywhere else. Charles has obviously mastered the art of inspiring loyalty in those of us who are drawn to his level of integrity in coaching.

The girls have made great progress this season, learning not just the mechanics and strategy of the game, but have gained mental fortitude as well. Further, the Cal-Elite approach to building the whole athlete has paid enormous dividends in my children's development. They are ever gaining in self confidence even as they are challenged to excel in the sport in such a constructive manner.

It is a testament to the entire coaching staff as directed by Chuck that one of our most difficult things to leave behind as we move to Idaho is the bonds Alanna and Athena have formed with not just their team but the club and coaching staff. While life moves forward and they will play for a new club in Idaho, they can always look back at the incredible head start they had by playing for Cal-Elite where they learned to internalize "Unity, Hustle, and Pride".
